Monica Galizzi

She teaches classes in Principles of Micro and Macro Economics, Labor Economics, and Health Economics at the university.

Professor Galizzi was born and raised in Piacenza Italy. After earning an Italian Doctorate of Research in Economic Policy, she was admitted to Boston University in 1987 and successfully completed a Ph.D. in Economics. Prior to accepting a position at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, she worked for the Workers Compensation Research Institute (WCRI} and the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). She has published many monographs and articles in peer-reviewed journals. She has received awards and recognition for her work.
