Book Group Reading List 2018-2019

In the past, Book Group members submitted recommended books for inclusion on our reading list once a year, in May. We changed that process, so that members may recommend titles throughout the year. Cynthia will compile a running list of nominated titles for 2024-2025 and it will be posted in May 2024. Book Group members will introduce their nominated titles, and online voting will take place in mid-June 2024. You may nominate any number of titles, keeping in mind the more you nominate, the less time you will have to discuss your titles when we meet in June 2024 to introduce the books before voting, as each member will have the same amount of time to speak. You MUST read the complete book before recommending it. Please e-mail your submissions to Cynthia David at ceedavid@hotmail.com no later than [pending].

You MUST submit each title using MSWord or email (NOT PDF)  in the following format:
Type of book: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Memoir, Biography, Autobiography, etc.
Title     Author    Date of Publication    Number of pages
Name of the person making the submission
A three sentence paragraph describing the book.
A sample submission is below:
Fiction: Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng 2017 352p Your Name
This book traces the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and the mother and daughter who upend their lives. It explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, and the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger of believing that following the rules can avert disaster.
